A Special Christmas Message....

Good Christmas Eve Dear Bloggers and Bloggeroonies - or should I say HO HO HO!!!

Thanks for popping by and we would like to take this opportunity to start this special Christmas Eve Blog with Seasonal Greetings from the Oldfields.....

As the last few of us frantically wrap up final presents and place them under their tree, we are now ready for our very special visitor tonight. Phoebe took great delight in her tasks this evening like all you Bloggeroonies out there; she proudly gathered all the gifts for Santa, Rudolph and left out a little biscuit for Mrs Claus too. We have checked a tracking site to see where Santa is and having given in to tiredness Phoebe is now tucked up and fast in the land of nod!!

As the Christmas preparations come to a close, we look forward to the next few days of relaxing with our nearest and dearest, surrounded by the comforts of home, with good food, good company, exciting times and.....the odd tipple of course!!

We reflect on our last Christmas back in Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, which I have to say was really far, far better than we could have ever imagined. Tonight, we remember everyone who is spending time in hospital along with all the Staff looking after them and helping to make their Christmases extra special....you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

We know how exciting Christmas can be especially with children, they remind you of the child we all still have inside of us and I'm sure this Christmas will be no exception too, we have braved the Tesco trip for the festive food shop and have covered all bases and now we can just enjoy this time together. Aaaahh, just the one sleep left now!!! WOOHOO!!!

Christmas time evokes lots of emotions and tonight we remember all of you out there who are away from your nearest and dearest and those of you who are missing your special someone...you are in our thoughts and prayers.

We will keep this posting fairly short tonight as I will write a reflective update next week as we move into the New Year and new decade....where has the time gone??

Hi Phoebe,

It was great seeing you at church on my birthday and me and Emma hope you got lots of lovely presents from Santa. He left sledge tracks on the snow in our back garden after we had built a landing pad with cones around the garden with our cousins Danielle and Hollie.

Lots and lots of love for the New Year.
