The Recovery Continues....

How are you all this Friday evening, sorry it has taken so long to up date, before you know it another week goes by….Where does the time go folks?

Thanks for all the lovely messages of support we continue to receive, it truly keeps us going!

Following our last visit to Manchester for regular blood tests and update with Rob, we were contacted to let us know that Phoebe’s T Cells had reduced again, not by a huge amount but we still need to keep a close eye on this count. The rest of Phoebe’s bloods seem to have stabilised and are looking pretty good….fingers crossed. Rob has advised that we go ahead with the flu vaccinations as an added precaution for Phoebe and of course we will take all the advice given, although there is a little apprehension with this.

Its been a busy few weeks here and having spent the last couple of weekends at home, we’ve appreciated the chance to just stop and unwind for a while just enjoying pottering around. As Gwen and Geoff have been away for a much needed break we have been staying at the club and Phoebe has enjoyed every moment, making herself right at home working with the staff....she's practically running the bar!!! Hope you like the couple of pics taken by our dear friend Rob Sproston whilst on our holidays, thoroughly enjoying the joys of a wet and windy beach in Devon.

Phoebe continues to amaze us and it’s so funny to hear her saying things we know she has picked up from us….”Mummy..do you know how much I love you….to the Moon and back” and she now counts on her fingers when reminding me if I have my mobile, keys, bag …aaah she does make us laugh and just makes our hearts melt.. Phoebe is doing so well, her appetite remains hearty, she is full of beans and keeping us fit trying to catch her as running off and playing hide and seek is one of her favourite games…its hard to keep up with her now she can run and just laughs the whole time, the little cheeky monkey!!

Phoebe’s speech astounds us more and more each day, especially her memory too which she definitely gets from her Dad! Its amazing how she can remember things from a fair while ago. For a while now we have been focusing on manners and this seems to be paying off as she is saying her ‘please and thankyou’s’ more so now without as much prompting.

Its been great to finally begin mixing with other children, providing all is well, it’s interesting to see Phoebe’s interaction as she is obviously so used to being around adults, she is thriving from the chance to spend time with other children and really enjoys talking about the time with them, hmm… sharing things on the other hand is proving… a little challenging but she’ll work through this….and of course its completely normal aspects of childhood which we count ourselves blessed to experience.

Now...tonight we are so pleased to announce some new arrivals…

Congratulations to Sarah and Simon Scott who have just had a lovely little girl…Well done Sarah, we look forward to meeting up with you soon..xxx

Also Congratulations go to Carl and Laura who have just had their first baby…a little girl called Molly..Well done and see you soon x

We have been celebrating some major Birthdays too this month and enjoyed some good gatherings with the Whitehursts who are sunning themselves on a little break to Marrakech. Here’s to you both!!


Special wishes for a Happy Birthday to Joe who started her birthday this morning with a big box of chocs…. It’s the only way to start your birthday!!!
