Homeward bound ...

Good Evening Bloggers,

Another good day here at RMCH!! How was everyone’s day out there? Hope you are all well.

It’s been a really good day with nothing to report other than...positive progress and with this came the good news from Rob late morning that we are able to leave the hospital tomorrow for a short break at home. Phoebe will be having four and a half hours of chemotherapy tomorrow, so long as Phoebe copes ok with this we have received the OK for Ade to bring us home. For now, results have been excellent from the lumbar puncture and we will just need to return for weekly chemotherapy up to the next transplant.

Physio was good today and Ally was pleased with Phoebe’s progress, she will be popping by tomorrow to discuss her observations since our recent referral. Tricia our head nurse here, bless her, has arranged for all Phoebe’s medicines to be sent up to the ward early...my goodness, two full carrier bags!! We can now start using the original medicine chart we devised last time to make the regime easier to manage.

Phoebe has done some wonderful walking and has taken many trips to the toilet probably covering a fair few metres! Having much more confidence she is eager to get up and about; it’s nice to see our old Phoebe back. Now when I say walk...actually I should say waddle as she looks like a little penguin with her big tummy, the steroids have made her cheeks chub a little so we can see Phoebe and Eleanor looking so similar, bless her.

Thanks for the lovely messages; it’s nice to hear you guys are enjoying the blog xxx

It’s been great catching up with my cousin Margaret today who came with my Dad and we also had a lovely visit from Sarah and Briar today. Later this afternoon, I managed to take a break and we popped into Whitworth Gallery opposite the hospital as I wanted to purchase a nice card to send to our donor in preparation for our next transplant.

The day finished off with a great visit from our dear friend Theresa, bless her, she had a stressful journey over here and arrived with presents and wonderful handmade cards from Bradley and Darcy galore. We managed some quality time together before it was time to be heading back. Thanks Theresa for all your efforts in getting over here.

Just a little mention to charlotte to say thankyou so very much for the lovely party bag you sent for Phoebe. We were so looking forward to celebrating your birthday with you. I have had Charlotte's birthday parcel that Ade was going to drop off for me a couple of days ago but when we received the confirmation today that its very possible that we may be coming home, it will be nice to deliver it by hand. xxx

Thanks everyone once again for all your support, will head off early tonight but look forward to blogging you from home tomorrow.

Goodnight my friends, rest easy.

Much Love

Lynn, Ade, Phoebe and Spirit Eleanor xxxx
