Transplant Day+52 - Recovery at Home - Aaah, the Sunday Roast!!

Hi there Bloggers,

Good Evening to you all and we hope you have all had a relaxing Sunday!

Wow, we all awoke this morning with sunlight streaming through the curtains, it was 8.15am and having had a good nights sleep, we both felt much fresher. I decided to take a quick shower and popped in on Phoebe first who was in mid-headstand, when she realised I was there, she just looked up at me and started laughing, aah it was magical!! Ade sorted Phoebs nappy which shall we say was extremely busy!!!

There were some good energies around this morning and it was great to just spend some quality time together, being daft as usual!! Sitting for breakfast, we decided to try Phoebe on a regular chair with a small booster seat and straps, she wasn't too sure and her appetite was pretty much the same. After a few teaspoons of porridge, Phoebe had a few drinks of her tea and just wanted a cuddle on my knee.

For the rest of the morning, Phoebe played with her books and as she was due a feed, we had a cuddle on the couch, as she has become quite interested in the TV since being in hospital and enjoys her daily 'Fifi and the Flowertots' and 'In the Night Garden'. As we have been singing lots of Abba songs recently and Phoebe often chooses the Mamma Mia DVD, I thought I’d put it on for her just playing the songs and singing along, she enjoyed it merrily bobbing her head to the tunes!

Time was getting on and as it takes us a little while to gather all the items we need I thought we’d better get started! Just then, I received a call from Johnny Nutt, a truly lovely chap who I worked with during my time at Stoke City, along with Jo and Cliff Egan who have now moved back to Margate, they are regulars to the blog and have updated John on Phoebe’s progress. Now that we are back at home John called and we always have a good chat, I brought him up to speed on everything and he’s going to check the blog out soon!!

Phoebe was becoming a little tired and had a little nap on the way to Mum and Dad’s, and as we arrived Phoebe had a huge smile for my Dad, play time!!! It’s lovely to see how much Phoebe enjoys their company. Gary and Lisa arrived soon after and they both raced to see her first in the lounge!! Mum had prepared Phoebe a lovely Sunday lunch of potatoes and veggies with gravy but again Phoebs appetite waned. Of course its important that Phoebe sits at the table and joins in with lunch and she really enjoys it when we all raise our glasses to Eleanor and all the family, Phoebe is always enthusiastic to clink her cup, bless her!! Mum and Dad made us a fabulous lunch and it's good to sit and have a chat, we are so grateful to them for looking after us each week with a hearty meal..and the naughty puddings too!!

We arranged to head over to Nan and Ed’s for a cuppa later in the afternoon, Gwen joined us and planned to stay for a sandwich but as it started to snow quite heavy we decided to head home, pop Phoebe into bed for an early night as she hadn’t had any real nap time. Phoebe has been quite sick again today, this in turn means a little delay on some of the feeds due to repeating them but not to worry we can have a chat with Rob on Tuesday.

Phoebe has been quite settled tonight and just as I was getting in the flow of this evening’s posting, Phoebe was quite sick during a feed, she still appears to have some mucositis along with some damage to her stomach, this we are sure will just need time to heal. Tonight, we will press on with the feeds and see how we go.. so folks, signing off early tonight but before I go, I must apologise for not including some pics up recently, will sort for tomorrow but for now, heading for an early night myself….sleep well dear friends xxxx

Hi y'all

It feels like I have been on here in ages, but I think it was only Wednesday that I was last here LOL! Been looking for a new car and it has taken a crazy amount of my time. Bagged it, now so my life can get back to normal!

Good to her all your news. It seems from reading the blogs back to back that Phoebe is making great progress, even tho she is still sick it seems to have lessened a little. She seems very happy too! I was imagining that sunny cold dry day you went out for a walk on! My fave kind of British day!

I really love reading the blog too but you have so much on your plate guys that no one would blame you for updating every few days.....but then it's prolly therapy for you....?! Who cares if anyone else is reading if it helps you gather your thoughts and work through your feelings..?!!

The recipe looked DELISH!

Take care all of you, hope today was good!

Tons of love

Hello all!

Sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday catching up with all the family - they are great to have around for you! Phoebe sounds like she is making great progress each and every day - we hope each day that the sickness eases for her - bless her!

Hoping that everything goes well for you all in Manchester tomorrowxxx

We have had a crazy evening in the garden having snowball fights and building snowmen - the kids absolutely loved it!! Had a late night, but we don't get the white stuff enough, so all bedtime routine went out the window tonight!!! Not sure that Chlo-Jo really knew what to make if it all!!!! Probably thinks she has entered an even more crazy family than normal!!! LOL!!

Sending loads of love and thoughts to you all, and will be thinking about you tomorrow.

Take care
