Following a hectic few days and an incredible rollercoaster ride of emotions, we will be keeping the blog brief tonight to enable an early night at last!!
Phoebe has been really well since Tuesday although she has had a few snuffles, these seem to have disappeared over the last 24 hours which is a great sign that she may be fighting these off by herself. Ade spoke with Sarah at Manchester today and she confirmed that Phoebe still has the Norovirus and we are sure this will clear in time. The tests on fluid taken from Phoebe’s nose are completely clear which is fantastic, we are so pleased.
Phoebe has been eating fairly well and we continue to tube feed her each day in the hope she will gradually regain her weight and return to eating well. Just spending time with Phoebe at home is great and for some reason over the last few days I feel so much closer to her, its magical sharing this incredible bonding time, I’m sure this too is an important element to her healing. Phoebe continues to keep us entertained and has Ade and I in fits of laughter. Phoebe is making a remarkable recovery and we continue in our positivity for her to be happy and healthy.
Ade and I have made sure we give each other some time out and towards the weekend I had chance to meet up for a wonderful lunch with my dear friend Theresa, tasty meal at Brunswicks in Newcastle is well recommended!! It was also time to meet with the girls on the Mothers Journey Group and always good to hear each others news, the meetings are really helpful even if we shed a few tears, it can be quite emotional but its good to meet with the group and share these very special moments in our lives. One of the girls Jo, regularly runs with a club and has successfully completed a few half marathons, well done hun and good luck for your forthcoming races, the group are extremely proud of you xxx It’s a pleasure spending time with you all and thanks for your wonderful support. xxx
On Friday, Estelle and I met for a coffee, its was great to spend time with Est whilst she was enjoying her well earned holiday and this also gave me some time to catch up with a few necessary things at the post office too.
As I said a little earlier its been a wonderfully busy weekend, during Phoebe’s recovery its important that at least one of us is with her at all times, this obviously restricts us going out together in the evenings, we don’t mind as having Phoebe at home with us is a great blessing. Its lovely to have friends over to the house and as it’s been some time since Phoebs and I popped into the Circle Tots at St. Teresa’s, we decided to have a catch up with a few of the girls here on Friday night. Thanks so much to everyone for your wonderful company, your encouraging support, prayers, love and generous array of delicious homemade puddings, cakes and beautiful gifts….you are so kind….we are so lucky to have such wonderful friends in our life.
After a wonderful evening I headed to bed around 12.30am and as we have had a few disturbed nights with Phoebe all three of us were feeling a little overtired. As it was Ade’s birthday yesterday, Phoebe and I rose early and made Adrian a glittery birthday banner and card, she really enjoyed herself and now most of the house is covered with glitter! Phoebe and I expected Ade to have a lie in and it gave me a little time to teach her to sing ‘Happy Birthday’. Ade came into the kitchen and she greeted him with a wonderful rendition of ‘Happy Birthday!!’. He was so surprised and overwhelmed by our efforts to make his day special, aaah it was pure joy!
Later in the morning, we received the sad news that Uncle Frank has been taken into hospital in the early hours and was incredibly poorly, Margaret kept us updated throughout the day but during the afternoon Uncle Frank had taken a turn for the worse. We received the sad news early evening that Uncle Frank had passed very peacefully with his family surrounding him. This time is especially emotional for us as we have the anniversary of Eleanor’s passing today too and its four years this year….where has the time gone? It has been a rollercoaster of emotions this weekend with many tears especially thinking about Auntie Winnie and all the family at this sad time.
Thank you to everyone for your wonderful words of comfort and support especially for today, it means so much to us that you continue to keep Eleanor’s spirit alive in your thoughts and prayers. We also appreciate all the love shown for Phoebe especially during these first few difficult months in her life.
Well guys….Its now midnight so we will update the blog tomorrow with some beautiful photo’s taken over the last few days but for now rest easy until our next full update on Tuesday following our clinic appointment. xxx
For Uncle Frank...
May your Angels guide you on your journey home, for loved ones to embrace you with open arms, for your soul to heal and your spirit be free. God Bless You Uncle Frank xxxx
Much love
Lynn, Ade, Phoebe and Spirit Eleanor xxxx
