Transplant Day +14...The Big Chill

Happy Friday Everyone,

Hope you are all well and looking forward to
this weekend.

Its been a really relaxing day here in Manchester, Mum and Dad popped over and we just spent some great time together. Phoebe has chilled today and enjoyed lots of TV, its been a really good distraction as this has been her first day returning to all oral medicines and although this part is difficult, we just have to dig our heels in, stay positive, focused and keep reminding ourselves that we are doing it to keep her healthy and we don't mind if she is cross with us bless her!!!

At the moment, the main challenge we have is
getting Phoebe to eat and drink so we ask if you can all send in focused thoughts on increasing Phoebe's appetite once again....pity we couldn't get our hands on those steroids which you may remember made Phoebe ravenous when we were first admitted, gosh when we look back on that time, we couldn't stop her eating, but we know this will return to normal in good time!!!

Thanks once again for all the fascinating things you have sent to us and today we received exciting mail from The Berrisford Family in Stoke, it was great to hear from you guys and thanks for the lovely letter, thrilled you are all ok and enjoying the blog, thanks to Olivia and Harrison for some wonderful artwork too.

Here is our chosen artwork for today and this comes from sweet little Chlo-Jo-Malo-Jo who is also in Stoke, this is one of my favourites Chlo Jo as I love the mix of bold colours on the blue background, lovely work sweetie!!

Louise, one of the play specialists here,
popped into our room today to ask if we needed anything and I told her about our art competition, she asked if we could display some of the entries as a feature on one of the walls in the Day Unit, Louise was very impressed with the art work and I hope to head round there over the weekend and take a photo for you all.

Thanks to our lovely
neighbours, Martin, Jill, Katie and Jacob, who sent Phoebe a super game today, she opened the box with great enthusiasm and helped Grandad set it up!! Mum, Dad, Phoebe and me all played and I would describe it similar to Kerplunk..mmm sure that will bring some memories back for some of you!!

Phoebe had another enjoyable session with her teacher Layla. I tend to retreat with my book during their time and today Phoebe played a game of Bingo! Layla was really pleased with how well Phoebe plays and takes turns during the game, we look forward to seeing her next week maybe for the final time before a hopeful discharge early in the week.

Just a few hello's and special thanks also to a lady called Maggie who is a regular at Shapemaster in the Tollgate, Maggie kindly sent Phoebe a wonderful pink wig to wear! She looks great, just need a photo now, she is already playing a diva, becoming assertive and saying 'no photo's please'

As we watch the folks leave the hospital tonight, there is such a difference in the atmosphere here, its so quiet and peaceful....and can't quite actually believe its come around again so quick...will leave it there for now, wishing you all a lovely weekend and look forward to catching up again on Sunday night...

For now, rest easy xx

Much love

Lynn, Ade, Phoebe and Spirit Eleanor xxxx

Good morning lovelies! Gotta see a pic of Phoebe in that pink wig! Having a picnic lunch with Peppa Pig! Question - in all the pics, I see you and your family wearing those plastic aprons. Silly question, but why? They don't seem like they'd be much of a germ defense?! Or is it for another reason?!

You'll have to a pic of all the artwork on the walls of the Day Unit! Some very impressive pics.

Have a lovely weekend, tons of love and hugs to you all!
