Evening Bloggers!!
Hope everyone is ok out there.
After another busy night with Miss Phoebe wanting to sit and chat until 4.30am and considering how tired Ade and I felt this morning, its been a rather good day for us as we made the journey to Manchester for our weekly clinic appointment.
Holding our plans to visit Blackpool for the lights as they are currently switched on around 7pm, after some thought regarding the logistics of Phoebe's semi-isolation, food (being on a 'clean diet') bedtime, we decided its probably best to leave this until October when the lights are switched on around 5pm which may make more sense!
Phoebe has been well again today and we have had a great response from the doctors during clinic. Whilst we were waiting for the doctors, Jo asked us to wait in Rob's room. He has so many cards from all is patients thanking him for saving their lives. It got Ade and I thinking about how incredible it must be for him to be able to save lives....Phoebe included. To be fair, it blew our minds on the sheer intense and lifesaving work Rob and his team are doing here...Thank God we have such amazing people looking after Phoebe. Denise, Gill and Jo were also extremely pleased with her progress so far and have decided to reduce some doses of the medicines which of course such great news for Phoebe. Looking back we can see how Phoebe has done amazingly well taking her medicines and avoiding the naso gastric tube...she's such a little star!!
As Phoebe's blood pressure has now steadied and in normal range we are able to finish with her treatment for high blood pressure and we can also reduce the immunosuppressant therapy again. Denise explained Phoebe will require some medicines to help her B Cells recover and these will be given intravenously over four hours on the day case unit.
We remain optomistic watching Phoebe's progress each day although still have a long way to go...will keep taking each day at a time.
Forgive us, feeling pretty exhausted now and starting to doze, so heading off to bed just in case we have a busy night ahead...Catch you tomorrow xxx
Rest easy folks,
Much Love
Lynn, Ade, Phoebe and Spirit Eleanor xxxx
