Transplant Day +22...Its good to be home xxx

Hi Folks,

How is everyone this Saturday evening, hope you are enjoying the weekend!

It felt a little strange leaving the hospital and secure surroundings of our nurses and doctors. Before we left on Thursday, it was nice to be able to take some pics...

These last couple of days have been pure bliss and whilst we settled back into comfort at home Phoebe has had complete freedom. Phoebe has enjoyed her time to just 'be' after everything she has been through.....and
here she is ye
sterday morning...doing the ironing!! She took the iron and I set her off to start with tea towels just like my mum did with me and she did an amazing job...like she had been doing it for years!!

We have enjoyed preparing dinner and eating together, Phoebe's appetite has slightly improved she has enjoyed tasty cooked vegetable dinners and we are sure this will continue when she smells the wonderful aroma's of Sunday lunch at Mum and Dad's tomorrow.

So far Phoebe continues with her stance on taking her medicines and avoiding the naso gastric tube, she has been so strong with this and does so well considering the sheer amount needed during each day. We will see a huge difference in the next couple of months as we start to reduce the medicines over time and return to her single daily dose of penicillin.

For me, it h
as been a chance to call people and hear everyone's news. The girls decided to have a get together in Stone last night and it was great to just sit and catch up with everyone, the girls have been an incredible support not just over the past six weeks but the past seven years...one of my life's true blessings, thanks dear friends xxxx

As this
turned out to be a little later finish than expected Est and I thought it was best to head home and get some sleep...although the girls were raring to go and got their second wind continuing to put the world to rights until 5am this morning!!! Sure they are all feeling a tad tired today...those big nights out seem to take longer to recover from these days!!

Ade has also been brilliant during our time in the hospital and we realise how important it is to work together during the tougher times in life. His support continues at home as he encourages me to take a little time out enjoy my simple pleasures...and today this was 'Breakfast Club' with Estelle. The town of Newcastle is about 5 minutes drive from Chester Crescent and as the regular early morning shoppers start to arrive
we sit and relax to enjoy a sumptuous breakfast of Eggs Benedict from our favourite coffee house called Reubens. Estelle and I really enjoy our early morning cappuccino and it gives Phoebe quality time with her Dad, before he takes off to see his beloved football team Stoke City.

Phoebe has been quite tired today and had a deep snooze this afterno
on. This gave me time to sort some of our bags brought back from the hospital...how did we manage to have so much with us...and here I am thinking I'm a minimalist!! It has taken Phoebe a little while to fall asleep tonight but now she is finally settled and we hope she will manage to get some quailty ZZZZZ's

Thanks for this fabulous picture from Connor, wonderful use of colours, thank you Connor xx

Feeling pretty tired myself too now so I will catch you all again tomorrow.

Rest easy,
Much Love
Lynn, Ade, Phoebe and Spirit Eleanor xxxx
