Hi there Bloggers,
How was your Sunday? We hope you have all had a good weekend and found time to rest and re-charge ready for the week ahead.
It’s been really nice to spend time at home, just enjoying every day comforts and freedom. Although Phoebe settled quite well being in hospital, she has been a little unsettled during the last couple of nights, maybe it’s being too quiet!! It was surprising how well she coped in hospital with the array of sounds, bleeps and general unfamiliar environment. In these past few nights at home Phoebe has been waking lots during the night wanting to go to the toilet each hour which is most unusual but it’s no wonder as her body is going through so many changes at the moment with the copious amounts of medicines she needs to take along with the recent treatments.
We have enjoyed a regular Sunday here, where our morning began with visits from my cousin Margaret and Sarah; it was lovely to catch up as it’s been a while since we have seen Sarah. Now Phoebe is normally so sociable, as you guys know we love spending time with family and friends however since taking her steroids Phoebe takes a little while to warm up to visitors and can be really grumpy. My dear friend Helen and her daughter Macie who is also a special friend of Phoebe came over and so very kindly brought Phoebe some lovely homemade cakes and birthday gifts. Macie was very chatty however it’s a little challenging to get Phoebe to converse at the moment as she is constantly glued to the TV, of course when we have visitors we switch the TV off to chat but Phoebe gets so upset when the TV is off, we are choosing our battles to avoid unnecessary stress for her. This too being one of the traits of the steroids, other children in the ward have been known to sit and watch their favourite programme over and over all day...maybe it’s their way of escape.
Over at Mum and Dad’s today, it was wonderful to see Phoebe eating and enjoying her Sunday lunch so well. Of course we always enjoy Sunday roast so kindly made by the folks. Although Phoebe enjoys it at Nan and Granddad’s house she hasn’t been herself really today, perhaps a little tired but thinking maybe the effects of the chemo are kicking in as she has had a really poorly tummy, later this appeared to be mainly awful trapped wind. Mum and I have spent the day rubbing her tummy and using a hot water bottle to try and soothe this for her, eventually it cleared late afternoon and the difference in her was astonishing!! Trying to tell Phoebe not to eat too much at the moment is impossible and so we have to just go with it, up making sandwiches at 7.30am!! Of course after a while she has over-eaten and feels uncomfortable, it makes her miserable, we are of course only giving her a little at a time but she has a slow digestion with not wanting to be as active....so a little walk and some fresh air tomorrow we think!!
Finishing off the day with a nice visit from Ade's Mum - Gwen, she is being a real star at the moment as she is helping with all our washing and is a great support bless her...Thanks Gwen xxx Our parents are so incredibly supportive we truly count our blessings.
We look forward to another day at home tomorrow, with no great plans other than to be here taking care of Phoebe and enjoying quality time before our next trip into the hospital.
Cheryl and Emma, we’re thinking about you in Manchester, stay strong xxx
So for now folks, we say goodnight for now and catch you all tomorrow for another update.
Sleep well dear friends.
Much love
Lynn, Ade, Phoebe and Spirit Eleanor xxx

Hi to you all
So pleased you can be at home for a few days and enjoy the simple things - like sleeping in your own bed!!! and using your own shower!!! Phoebe is an absolute star and copes with everything so well, she is bound to have a couple of unsociable days. I hope that Phoebe settles at night soon and enjoys the familiarity of her own room.
Thinking of you all the time and sending lots of hugs and kisses.
See you again soon
Lots of love

I just got in from work and wanted to write you quick before your next update, sometimes I am a day behind..I am so glad to hear you hear you are having a nice weekend at home, that must feel so good..I had a busy weekend, it was Shawn's birthday on Saturday and if you can believe it he is 28..I can't believe it myself..I made him a dinner he wanted and of course a cake, but you know how it is as soon as dinner was done he was off for a night out with his friends..
I know what it is like for Phoebe being on those meds, my Mom was on them and she could eat like nobodys business...She use to say I am just so hungry..
Look forward to your next blog and your Facebook picture is so pretty...
Love Lissa
