Transplant Day -4...a good day

Good Evening,

Just a short blog tonight for you all with some photo's as promised...

Today's chosen art...by Phoebe

Its been a really good day here today and Phoebe has received two doses of chemo, with temperatures regulated, the doctors and nurses are really pleased with her. Phoebe has one dose of Fludarabine tomorrow and Wednesday and we then have a day of rest for her on Thursday, ready for her transplant on Friday.

During Phoebe's last transplant, Rob received the stem cell donation but decided not to use all of them, there are such an amazing number of factors to consider when using the stem cells. Phoebe is recieving her donation using the same donor from her previous transplant, she is a great match for Phoebe..ironically they are different blood types!!! something most of us would think imperative ...but you need to go into further detail of the bloods to understand this....Ade's far more knowledgeable in this arena if you have any questions.

This time around Rob is planning to give all of the donation we receive. In Phoebe's previous transplant not all the cells were used for scientific reasons...this time Phoebe will be receiving as much as is donated..this is where all the changes will begin along with the effects of the chemo. These usually start to occur around two weeks following chemo. So far so good, we just continue to take each day.

Here are some of the Photo's from the last few days...

Chosen picture for Saturday which Phoebe painted herself.

Hi

Just a quick word from Waterford to say all the best wishes to Phoebe on Friday and to say Lynn and Ade you must be the strongest people in the World. All our thoughts and prayers are with you and I must add your blog is so hard to read without breaking down. Our boy Jake was 1 yesterday and we couldn't even imagine how you both feel.
Love and Kisses to the 4 of you.
