Transplant Day +4...Just a brilliant day!!

Hi Everyone,

What a great day we have had here in Manchester, hope you are all well and indeed had a good day yourselves!!

Thanks for joi
ning us once again here on the blog and welcome to all our new bloggers who have recently joined us...

WOW....take a look at how much has been raised so far for The Anthony Nolan Trust...Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to everyone who has donated...you are an incredibly generous bunch!!! We are so very grateful to everyone who has supported this and we look forward to more fundraising events when we get back home...If anyone is having any fundraising events, please let us know and we can post it on the blog and facebook.

We have much to be thankful for today and this started with the fact that we no longer need to have the nebulising treatment. Rob is very pleased with Phoebe's progress and is happy for us to finish the treatment but will continue to monitor her chest and breathing along with the bloods and other regular tests which are done on a daily and weekly basis.

Many of Phoebe's medicines are now IV so this means she is linked up to her machine constantly, it may seem that this could be a difficult thing enough to deal with but we just work with it and it becomes a part of us as we move around the room! Phoebe has been on great form today although she has been a little cold and tired and this shows in her Hb (iron levels), she had a platelet transfusion last night and is due a blood transfusion during tonight, she has obs (temp, bp and oxygen levels) completed every half hour during this. Bloods are looking good and her immune system is almost at zero although we still have a little way to go yet. Everything is being monitored closely and tomorrow we will show you a copy of the daily blood report.

A little confused with the dates for returning to school and thought it was this week but all you bloggeroonies have an extra week...you are so lucky!!! Doh!!

Phoebe had a wonderful parcel delivered today from our good friends, Deb, Andy, Cameron and Emma. Phoebe was thrilled with her cheerleader pom poms, story and pictures done by Cameron and Emma and Ade was chuffed with his Stoke City book, thanks guys you are too kind....pics will be on our board tomorrow!!

My cousin Margaret and Frank called over to see us today and were thrilled to see Phoebe even though it was through the window...Can you believe they were up early this morning and cooking for us at 8am making the tastiest Shepherds Pie and boy it was sooo good!!! We have saved some for tomorrow too!! Yum!! Thank you so very much both of you...it was greatly appreciated.

The troops visit regularly and we all enjoy their time here, particularly
Phoebe as it gives her a chance to have a little quality time with them and a brings a difference to her day too. They also come loaded up with provisions and a lunchtime buffet fit for a Queen...well naturally when we have Nana Marge come too..she's just like royalty!!!

The bond between Phoebe and I has grown even stronger during the
past month and we are spending time doing all the things I always plan to do with her at home...and just never seem to get around to...this being one of those blessings!! I have made a sun for her window and we can decorate this tomorrow. We enjoy cutting, sticking and painting, its really relaxing and I am just really enjoying just spending time together and particularly the caring aspect. Each day she has a foot soak or massage, (particularly as her skin is a little dry) along with all the other cares. Here she is in the salon with Sandy her dog, both having manicures!! Some days it is easy not to worry about getting dressed and just stay in your pyjamas all day...and some days we do just that to feel a change but for the most part, we have a great routine that sets us up for the day.

You'd be su
rprised how busy you can be just staying in one room all day!!! Ade, Phoebe and I have had a really good dance tonight before Ade set off, we popped Phoebe's playlist on and had a great time...just needed the disco lights!!! Although Phoebe wasn't too sure when Ade and I attempted a little ballroom...she looked a little perturbed!! Will pop Phoebe's playlist on here tomorrow.

Here is today's artwork and this is sent in from Molly in Stoke, thanks Molly, that's some great work. Molly and her Mum Becky have always been avid followers of the blog and check in with us each Morning... so..... Good Morning both of you...hope you have a nice day! Not long till baby comes now Becky?

Our good friends Vicki and Gaz were visiting Camelot today and Gaz
managed to win a 'Peppa Pig' for Phoebe!!! After a little we started to receive texts saying..."Where's Peppa" and for the next couple of hours we had Photo's of Peppa popping up all over the place....Phoebe loved it, it really tickled her...watch this space!!!!

To all the parents out there...please could you let us know any of your local stockists for Go Go's...(Its all new to me!!) particularly local newsagents etc...we would like to get some for Phoebe to help with encouraging to take medicines etc... Regan..thank you for introducing Phoebe to the world of Go Go's she loves them and takes very good care of them!!!! Thanks for your help Helen with this too xxx

Thanks once again to everyone for your incredible support, for all the wonderful kind words of encouragement we receive...we're so amazed by the sheer amount of folk thinking of us and saying prayers around the world....you play a huge part in this journey with us...God Bless xxx

Rest easy folks

Much Love

Lynn, Ade, Phoebe and Spirit Eleanor xxxx
